First 20 Years - Eiroa

The Eiroa family has a legacy in the cigar industry that is 100 years in the making. With this particular cigar, Christian Eiroa is celebrating his 20 years in the industry. He started at Camacho and now runs CLE cigar factory in Danli, Honduras. The amount of detail is incredible, not only in the cigar itself, but even in its packaging and presentation. The First 20 Years comes bound in a leather ribbon bound box that pays homage to Christian’s grandfather who kept his cigars in a trunk at the end of his bed.

This box-pressed, Honduran puro is a great cigar from beginning to end. This particular day I was smoking the Toro Gordo size. It has fantastic construction. Lighting up was effortless and the burn was smooth and consistent. For me, the tasting notes consistent primarily of spices, nuts and leather. Other reviews share that dark chocolate and espresso are also present. Personally I noticed the spices significantly more in the retrohale.
